GIS and GPS award winners announced

ESRI, the leading developer of geographic information system (GIS) software; and Trimble, a leading innovator of global positional systems announced the 2004 ESRI and Trimble Mobile Government Grant Series. Totaling $170,000, the software, hardware and training grants have been awarded to 20 state, regional and local municipalities around the nation. The grant applications fell into the categories of homeland security and planning. The following recipients from parks and recreation include:
