Rhymes’ Ride Riddled – shots fired against rapper Busta Rhymes’ vehicle – Brief Article
Byline: JON WIEDERHORN
The fierce ’90s battles between East Coast and West Coast rappers, which some believe resulted in the deaths of Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur, seem to be over. These days, MCs have a bit more respect for one another. The same can’t always be said for their vehicles. Someone unloaded six shots into fast-talking rapper Busta Rhymes’ GMC Suburban while it was parked on a New York street. Police were unable to determine if Rhymes was the intended victim or if the shooter was an irate subcompact driver who’d been cut off by an SUV one too many times. The shooting took place in front of the offices of Rhymes’ management, Violator, which also represents 50 Cent and Missy Elliott. A month before, an unknown gunman walked into the office and opened fire at the walls and ceiling.
