Brother has expanded its commitment to the laser flatbed MFP market with three new models–MCF-6800, MFC9700, and MFG-9800. Each is designed for a wide array of user requirements including plain-paper faxing, laser printing, digital copying, color scanning, and PC faxing. The versatile flatbed design enables scanning, copying, and faxing documents, and all three models come standard with both parallel and USB interfaces compatible with Windows and MacOS. TextBridge OCR software enables archiving paper documents electronically for editing, sending, and storing.
The compact MFC-6800 has a small footprint and is ideal for SOHOs. It puts out 10 ppm in laser printing or digital copying, has a 200-sheet paper capacity, and handles up to 30 pages in the document feeder. The MFC-9700 is a direct replacement for the MFC-9600 and has improved performance, flexibility, and speed. An optional second input cassette is available as is optional network connectivity, and the 15-ppm machine holds up to 50 pages in the document feeder. The MFC9800 is designed for small to midsize corporate work-groups and has a Super G3 33.6-Kbps fax modem and additional dedicated one-touch dials for easy faxing and network scanning.
