The PaperPro Stapler
Its creator describes the PaperPro Stapler technology as “the future of desktop staplers.” Normally, we’d cynically say, “Yeah, right.” But we’ve tried it, and to paraphrase Sally Field’s legendary Oscar acceptance speech, “We like it. We really like it.”
The PaperPro is a stapler that’s not at all like the staplers that we’ve all grown up with and many of us still use today. It features an innovative mechanism that allows you to staple up to 20 sheets of paper with the press of a finger. All it takes is 7 pounds of light finger pressure, which converts into 30 pounds of stapling power. As you apply pressure, the stapler shoots the staple through a stack of papers with a distinctive “Pop.”
Before the PaperPro, the only way you could get similar performance was from staplers running on electric or battery power.
The secret to the PaperPro’s success was achieved by re-engineering the staple-driving mechanism of a staple gun so that it was small enough to fit into the desktop stapler housing, while making it inexpensive enough to sell at a reasonable price.
Three models are available, selling between $9.99 and $29.99: PaperPro 500 Compact Stapler staples up to 15 sheets; PaperPro 1000 Standard Stapler staples up to 20 sheets; and the PaperPro 2000 Hi-Capacity Stapler staples up to 60 sheets of paper.
