Turkey: Women government workers can wear pants
Goktepe, Katherine
ANKARA-Until recent months women with government jobs in Turkey were denied the right to wear pants to work. A new rule permitting women to wear pants comes after much protesting by such groups as KEKS, the union of government workers in Turkey, who established a “symbolic day of trousers” on December 7.
Jeans and tight-fitting pants are still banned from government workplaces.
