Enterprise Rent-A-Car reopens its final Hurricane Katrina-damaged
Enterprise Rent-A-Car reopened the last of its New Orleans rental locations that were shut down in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
As of this morning, the company’s eastern New Orleans rental office at 10200 East Interstate 10 Service Road is officially open for business.
After Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast in August 2005, Enterprise Rent-A-Car was forced to shut down some 20 branches that were flooded or damaged in the storm. Most reopened within a matter of weeks or months, but four, including the eastern New Orleans branch, were shuttered for an extended period. In all, Enterprise operates 32 branches in the metropolitan New Orleans area.
“We are delighted to be open again and able to serve our customers in New Orleans East,” said Enterprise Vice President and General Manager Alexis Hocevar. “For us at Enterprise, this is more than just a branch opening. We see this as one more step toward the full recovery and rebuilding of this community.”
Business hours at the 10200 East I-10 Service Road are 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Branch manager Monique Judice and her team can be reached at 241- 3900.
