CAPT Carl T. Bright, SC, USN, completed 27 years of active service and retired on Oct. 1, 2003, after serving at Naval Supply Systems Command Arlington Detachment, Washington, D.C. He received his master’s degrees from Navy War College and Naval Post Graduate School, and his bachelor’s degree at Alcorn State University, Alcorn A & M College. His previous duty stations include Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa.; Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Bremerton, Wash.; USS George Washington (CVN 73); Commander, Naval Air Atlantic, Norfolk, Va.; Commander, Naval Supply Systems Command,Arlington, Va.; Navy Ships Parts Control Center, Mechanicsburg, Va.; USS Tarawa (LHA 1); Naval Air Station Miramar, Calif.; Commander, Submarine Squadron 15, Apara, Guam; Navy Audit Service Headquarters, Falls Church, Va.; and USS Thomas Edison (SSBN 610) (Gold)
