Team signs veterans Henderson, Profit

The Milwaukee Bucks signed veterans Cedric Henderson and Laron Profit to contracts on Wednesday, the team announced.

As per club policy, terms of the contracts were not announced.

Henderson, a 6-foot-7 guard / forward, is a five-year National Basketball Association veteran. He played in 12 games for the Golden State Warriors last season, averaging 3.0 points and 5.8 minutes per game. Prior to that, he played four seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers, averaging 7.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 260 games.

Profit, a 6-4 guard, has two seasons of NBA experience and played last season in Italy for the Premiata Montegranaro team. He was a 1999 second-round draft choice of the Orlando Magic but his draft rights were traded to the Washington Wizards for a second-round pick. He played two seasons for Washington, averaging 3.0 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.7 assists. In Aug., 2001, he was traded back to Orlando along with a first-round draft choice for the draft rights to center Brendan Haywood.

The signings increase the number of players on the Bucks’ roster to 23. That includes six unsigned players. The team will conduct its annual media day next Monday and will then open training camp on Tuesday.

The Bucks will play seven exhibition games this season, including two at the Bradley Center.
