Sun Wants to Cut Your MS Office Bill in Half

Sun Microsystems Executive VP Jonathan Schwartz says he’ll chop by 50 percent any customer’s licensing bill for Microsoft Office. The catch? You have to use Sun’s StarOffice suite, instead. Even Schwartz admits that isn’t a realistic option for customers with heavy investments in Excel and other Microsoft programs.
