Microsoft Keeping ‘Aero’ Under Wraps

While Microsoft is hoping to deliver a technical preview release of the long-awaited Longhorn at the Professional Developers Conference, don’t expect the release to include the shiny new Aero interface, says WinInformant. Makes sense, since Microsoft’s been keeping Aero under lock and key by not including Aero in many, if any, of its own internal builds. Microsoft doesn’t want Apple or any other GUI maven to out-aero Aero before 2005.
