Publicis Healthcare Communications Group has appointed Linda Pastore as president of its Nelson Communications unit and Linda Szyper as president of its Discovery Group. Pastore’s appointment follows the resignation of Nelson chief executive Fred Kellogg in October. Pastore was managing director at Life Brands, a healthcare marketing agency she founded in 2002. Szyper joined Discovery as managing director in 1999.
CommonHealth has named Marc Weiner president of Conectics, its research and media planning services unit, and Qi, its interactive services unit. Weiner was president and chief executive of Hyphen, an Omnicom-owned company in Parsippany,N.J.
Hyphen has promoted Frank Saia to managing director from director of technology. Hyphen specializes in digital communications, including software development, Internet applications and multimedia design.
Torre Lazur McCann has selected Marci Piasecki as president of its East Hanover, N.J., office. Piasecki previously served as executive vice president and director of client services at Hyphen.
The CementWorks has appointed Peter Zamiska as chief creative officer, a new position, and Todd Neuhaus as senior vice president, creative director. Zamiska was a managing partner at MDC Advertising and has held senior creative positions at Lyons Lavey Nickel Swift, and Robert Becker Euro RSCG and FCB Healthcare. Neuhaus was chief creative officer at Lyons Lavey Nickel Swift.
Palio Communications has named Stephen Toman account director, Kathleen Sandwell account supervisor, Taber Dean account coordinator and Dennis Bucholtz support specialist. Toman was vice president, director of project management, at New World Health, a medical education company. Sandwell was a senior account executive at !Health Communications. Dean was traffic manager at Maplnfo. Bucholtz was an information technology specialist with the Saratoga Springs City School District.
Stephen A. Smith & Associates has hired Christine Moreira as senior art director. Moreira has worked at agencies such as Sudler & Hennesscy, Robert A. Decker and Lyons Lavey Nickel Swift.
GSW Worldwide has appointed Marcee Nelson as senior vice president/group creative director, Jim O’Neill as vice president/account director and Tom Watkins as senior director, market research. Prior to GSW, Nelson was senior partner, deputy executive creative director at J. Walter Thompson, O’Neill was account director at Match Inc.,and Watkins was principal at Watkins Consulting & Research.
Lowe Healthcare has hired David Hymson as senior vice president, director of global integration. Hymson joins the company from Publicis SanofiLab, where he served as executive vice president, HUB navigator.
Palio Communications has promoted Michelle Fellows from human resources coordinator to manager/recruiting and training. Fellows joined Saratoga Springs, N.Y.-based Palio in 2003.
TMX Communications, a digital communications agency, has promoted Christopher Cashdollar to associate creative director from art director, a post he held for five years. Cashdollar is responsible for pioneering strategies and creative solutions forTMX’s full roster of clients as well as setting and maintaining a high level of innovative development for future marketing campaigns.
