Bell and Howell – Precis: higher-education and technology products, projects, and services – Brief Article

Bell and Howell’s newly created subsidiary, XanEdu, delivers Internet-based content to college students. XanEdu will offer two types of products to the higher-education community. Using its research engine, students will be able to access content from thousands of journals, magazines, and newspapers.

In order to stimulate interest in these research engines, students will be able to access a portion of the content for free. To access XanEdu’s full range of content, students will pay $9.95 for every month of use.

XanEdu will also offer digitally based CoursePacks and CasePacks to college and university instructors.

Using the company’s CoursePack builder, college professors access articles from journals, periodicals, and newspapers and organize them into a packet for students.

The Coursepack can either be published within 24 hours or linked to a unique URL address.

Students can then purchase it at a cost of between $20 and $35 through the Internet. To find out more about XanEdu, visit http://www .xanedu.com.
