Sex crimes on campus
The Justice Department will publish final guidelines for the Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act Amendment in the Federal Register of Oct. 25.
The amendment added requirements to the Jacob Wetterling Crimes against Children and Sexually Violent Offender Registration Act of 1994, which sets minimum national standards for state sex offender registration and community notification programs.
The Federal Register of March 8 contained proposed guidelines. The final guidelines will reflect comments on the proposals, including input from the sponsor of the law, Sen. Jon L. Kyl, R-Ariz.
