Tennessee: Patrols increase in bid to stop gang wars
Nashville Metro police are deploying more officers in public housing in an effort to curb a surge in gang-related violence.
The department is also assigning more officers in high intensity crime areas through a city program that pays for police emergency overtime. Officers are taking a zero tolerance approach to any nuisance infraction committed in the areas as a way to quell violence.
