Foot Levelers’ Newest Spinal Pelvic Stabilizer-WorkWear(TM) for Industry-Protection, Support, Comfort

Higher productivity and fewer injuries could depend on workers’ shoes. Foot Levelers’ newest custom-made Spinal Pelvic Stabilizer, WorkWear(TM) for Industry, is for employers/employees in construction, manufacturing, and labor-people who work on their feet. Chiropractors, too, have a practice-building opportunity to work with local employers in health and safety programs by targeting wellness and reduction of workplace injury.

WorkWear(TM) for Industry features:

* the shock absorption of Zorbacel® and energy conservation of Propacel(TM) found in the patented Gait Cycle System® to minimize discomfort and fatigue during prolonged walking and standing on hard or irregular surfaces,

* the Dynamic Response System(TM), which acts like a suspension system by responding to variable loads and surfaces,

* a durable leather top to withstand intense activity,

* a moisture-resistant rubber Safety Sole(TM) that helps provide a protective barrier against heat and electricity and dampens the effect of vibration.

WorkWear(TM) for Industry is custom made from a weightbearing cast to support the three arches of the foot, improving posture and balance. Full length for use in laced shoes and boots, it fits the wide range of commonly used work footwear and is thin and flexible to fit steel-toed boots. Because WorkWear(TM) for Industry is worn inside the shoe, it moves with the employee, helping reduce dependence on industrial safety mats.

“We are excited about being able to meet the needs of the industrial market with this new product,” said Kent Greenawalt, Foot Levelers president/CEO. “By applying our patented systems to specific uses, doctors can serve individuals that have never considered chiropractic before-that’s good for the patient and the profession.”

2004-A Groundbreaking Year for OUM

This has been a phenomenal year in the history of OUM, one of the largest and most respected malpractice insurance programs since 1983. In 2004 alone, the OUM Chiropractor Program developed two groundbreaking ways to benefit the chiropractic profession. OUM, recognized for a quality, affordable malpractice insurance policy, recently showed its dedication to chiropractic by developing a new magazine and scholarship.

In May, OUM published the premier issue of Stature, a new risk management and chiropractic issues magazine. Each issue includes a case study and other educational articles and tools important for a successful practice.

OUM also developed the Wellness Works Scholarship Program and in October 2004, awarded the first three scholarships to students from Life West and Parker Colleges. The funds were raised through the generous support of Biofreeze, Chiropractic Economics, and King Bio Homeopathies.

Through Stature and the scholarships, OUM made a positive impact on the chiropractic community in 2004. As 2005 approaches, OUM plans to better serve chiropractic by continuing to provide quality malpractice protection and promoting chiropractic through the magazine and the scholarships.

OUM policyholders automatically receive Stature. If you are not a policyholder and would like a no-obligation quote with a free subscription to Stature or are interested in participating in the Wellness Works Program, please call 800/423-1504 for more information. The underwriter for the OUM Chiropractor Program varies by state, and includes Gulf Insurance Company, PACO Assurance Company, and PICA. Please call 800/423-1504 for specific underwriter and policy details for your location.

Chiropractors See Potential in Whey Protein Powders

To muscle builders, “protein powder” means bigger bulk and definition. But more chiropractors choose protein supplements for non-athletic general use and rehab patients.

No protein delivers amino acids to muscle faster than whey. That helps in the generation and recovery of muscle. A daily diet including the recommended amount of whey-based protein can help keep bones healthy and strong as the body ages.

All the Whey offers Milk Protein Isolates, Hydrolyzed Whey Isolate, Whey Protein Isolate, and Whey Protein Concentrate. All the Whey uses no preservatives and employs a sophisticated series of filters to reduce naturally occurring non-protein ingredients.

All the Whey also offers custom blend and packaging programs.
