James Brown’s Former Security Guard Charged With Arson And Theft – Richard Glenn, – Brief Article
The former security guard of famed singer James Brown has been charged with arson and theft for an April fire that destroyed some of the singer’s priceless mementos and music.
Richard Glenn, 39, was indicted on charges of first-degree arson, theft and three counts of first-degree forgery. He is alleged to have stolen $75,000 and setting fire to Brown’s office to hide the alleged theft.
Investigators began working on the case after the April 28 fire at James Brown Enterprises destroyed the office. Investigators said the fire also destroyed evidence concerning the theft of a $75,000 check made payable to Brown that ended up in two bank accounts the singer did not authorize.
