Golden State Warriors’ Erick Dampier Stays With Team For $48 Million – Brief Article
Golden State Warriors star center Erick Dampier has decided to stay with the team and has signed a seven-year, $48 million contract.
Dampier, 25, the top center in this year’s free agent market, averaged 8.8 points, 7.6 rebounds and 1.16 blocks a game for the team last season.
For the past two seasons he has not missed a game and has led the Warriors in rebounding.
“We’re elated to have re-signed Erick–obviously one of our top off-season priorities–and make him an integral part of our future,” general manager Garry St. Jean said. “We believe he has a bright future ahead of him.”
