Babyface and Tracey Edmonds ending 13-year marriage

Superstar singer/producer Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds and his wife, Tracey, recently announced they were ending their marriage after 13 years.

The pair, long considered one of Hollywood’s most elegant and happy couples, issued a statement that said: “It is with deep regret that we announce our permanent separation. We remain best friends. We will continue to work together in our companies (Edmonds Entertainment) and our various business ventures.”

The statement went on to say: “More importantly, we are parents of two wonderful children and will continue to provide a loving, caring and stable environment for them.”

Edmonds is 47 and his wife is 37. They have two sons, Brandon, 9, and Dylan, 4.

The statement said the pair had already unofficially been separated “for quite some time.”

Under Edmonds Entertainment, the two produced the movie and cable television hit “Soul Food.” Also, they produced the film Josie and the Pussycats.

He is one of the most successful writer/ producers in music history, working with such legends as Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin and Madonna.
