Cambridge summer study – Travelers Intercom: readers’ opinion tips & recommendations – Brief Article

Carol Bessette

Every year since 1991, I have attended 2-week courses offered through the Cambridge Summer Study Program at Cambridge University.

The 2004 program is scheduled July 11-24 at Downing College Subjects include “The English Country House,” “Shakespeare in His World and Ours,” “Western Art from the Parthenon to Picasso,” “Life in the Middle Ages” and “Stuart England.” The $3,850 fee covers room, two meals a day, tuition and all course-related field trips.

For further info, visit www. cssp.net or contact Dr. Joann Painter (714 Sassafras St., Erie, PA 16501; phone 814/456-0757).

Since I haven’t missed a year since 1991, I obviously think highly of the program. I recommend this as a wonderful way to spend two weeks in one of the most beautiful and historic cities’ in England.
