CANADA: CONTRACTS AWARDED FOR ITS
Canadian Transport Minister Tony Valeri has announced the winning projects that will be awarded contracts funded under “Innovation Through Partnership,” Transport Canada’s Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Research and Development Plan.
Under the Government of Canada’s $600-million Strategic Highway Research Program, $100 million is designated to fund programs that better integrate the transportation system-$1 million is allocated for research and development contracts, with a maximum of $100,000 awarded per project. The funding supports the promotion and adoption of ITS technologies to advance safety, efficiency and security.
