Valley Health System appoints senior management staff
Valley Health System has announced that George L. Leisher Jr. joined Valley Health System during the latter part of September as its senior vice president for human resources. L. Weldon Clark Jr. also joined Valley Health System during the latter part of September as its chief information officer. Leisher and Clark were recently honored by Valley Health Care Management Services, LLC (VHCMS), the newly formed management services company that will manage the operations of Valley Health System’s facilities.
A resident of Southern California for four years, Leisher served as a consultant for Human Resources International, Inc. since 1992. Most recently, he consulted senior management with Watson Pharmaceutical, Inc. and Pharmaceutical Resources, Inc. While at Watson Pharmaceutical, Inc., he implemented a state-of-the-art human resource information system and improved benefits while reducing costs.
Leisher graduated from the University of Missouri with a B.S. in personnel management and labor relations. He also completed graduate work in human resources and law at the University of Missouri. Currently, Leisher contributes much to his community. Affiliations have included serving on the board of directors of YMCA and Goodwill Industries.
Clark has served as director of Management Information Services of Tri-City Medical Center in Oceanside, California, since 1997. While at Tri-City, he implemented an enterprisewide hospital information system combining financial and clinical information and providing access to this information to area physicians.
He is a graduate of Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado, and holds a B.S. in business administration.
