More progress for abortion rights was achieved in June when the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit struck down Michigan’s third attempt to enact a dangerous and extreme law that would have prohibited nearly all abortions. And in July New Hampshire Governor John Lynch signed a bill repealing a 2003 law that prevented doctors from performing an abortion for a teen under the age of eighteen until forty-eight hours after a parent had been notified.
