Lincare Pays $127,000 to Settle Billing Violations – Brief Article

West Springfield, Mass. Lincare Holdings has agreed to pay $127,000 to the Massachusetts Medicaid program to settle billing violations.

Lincare failed to keep required records in order to receive payments for its services; received payment without billing Medicare first; and dispensed products and received payment from Medicaid with written prescriptions, according to state officials.

The state Medicaid agency uncovered the billing irregularities during an audit of the Lincare facility. No charges were filed.
