According to the Connecticut Greenhouse Growers Association (CGGA], the green industry is trying to get rid of the Sudden Oak Death stigma attached to Phytophthora ramorum. It’s neither sudden, nor confined to oaks, according to the CGGA. Some are using a new term, “ramorum leaf blight” or simply using the P. ramorum scientific name.
