PRODUCER PRICES

The producer price index for all finished goods rose 0.5 percent in

June. Prices of finished consumer foods rose 0.4 percent, while prices

of other finished consumer goods rose 0.9 percent. Capital equipment

prices fell 0.1 percent.

In June, the consumer price index for all urban consumers rose 0.2

percent seasonally adjusted; it rose 0.1 percent not seasonally

adjusted. The index was 2.1 percent above its year-earlier level.
