Candy Spelling’s Fantasy Dolls, which were introduced at Toy Fair this year, are as easy to collect as A-B-C. Candy’s designs for the Follow Me from A to Z series are being sculpted by award-winning artist Sandra Bilotto. The series features an 8-inch doll for each letter of the alphabet. Sticking to the alphabet theme, each costume has a delightful design that makes the series come alive. Each doll comes with a coordinated fabric slip cover to conceal the stand and carry out the overall look, and the dolls will also come with a corresponding collectible charm letter that can be added to a bracelet as the Follow Me from A to Z series grows.
Candy’s creative personal flair stems from her background in design and a passion for collectible dolls. Her love of dolls since childhood and her years of collecting experience have culminated in her
building her own doll museum. The first doll in the series, Annabelle, beautifully illustrates the letter “A” with an apple theme, while Betty depicts the letter “B” using birds. Their hang tags include a descriptive poem, such as “‘A is for apple, take a bite; ‘B’ is for bird, fast in flight.”
