New Hampshire: ILLEGAL ALIENS, CHILD SEX ABUSE TOP AGENDA
House Majority Leader Michael O’Neal said child sex abuse and illegal aliens would be among the top legislative priorities in the session that begins in January.
Proposed legislation would amend the sex offender registration law and establish new mandatory sentences for different levels of crime. An assault on a child under 13 would carry a minimum 25-year sentence.
Crime associated with undocumented aliens is also of concern.
O’Neal announced the plans for the House at the conclusion of presession caucus of Republicans to develop an agenda.
Lawmakers may begin filing legislation on Sept. 12.
