Deal sees Caterham sport MG XPower logo – news – Caterham to use MG Rover engines exclusively – Brief Article

A PARTNERSHIP DEAL between two British sports car producers will see Caterham, maker of the Seven since 1973, using engines and gearboxes supplied by MG Rover as well as donning the company’s XPower logo.

Caterham has been using the MG Rover K-series for over 10 years but will now fit MG’s Powertrain engines exclusively to its range. The partnership also allows Caterham to emblazen its cars with MG’s XPower logo.

The Seven was first launched in 1957 by Lotus. Prices for the 2002 models start from 12,950 [pounds sterling] for the Classic and rise to 20,700 [pounds sterling] for the Superlight.
