ROAD MAP REJECTED: Abed, son of Hamas leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, fixes his father’s kaffiyeh during an interview with Reuters in Gaza May 28. The Islamic group Hamas renewed an offer to suspend attacks inside Israel in exchange for an end to Israel’s military crackdown on the Palestinians but again rejected a U.S.-backed road map to peace.
