Buyer beware – Century marks – Wacky Warning Label Contest by Michigan Lawsuit Abuse Watch – Brief Article

The Michigan Lawsuit Abuse Watch sponsors an annual Wacky Warning Label Contest to show that fear of lawsuits sometimes makes companies lose their common sense. First prize for the year 2002, according to the Associated Press, was for a warning on the Interactive Health massage chair, which warns against using the device without clothing. Second place went to a snowblower label that says, “Do not use snowblower on roof.” Third prize was for a kitchen label that says, “Do not allow children to play in the dishwasher.”
