Sharing Christmas with a faraway loved one – Letter to the Editor

Thank you for the article on collaborative journals, “Creating a Shared Journal,” in the November 2003 issue. My son is a military pilot who will be deployed in Afghanistan during Christmas this year. Though he is absent, his wife and son will join our family for the traditions and celebrations. After reading your article, I plan to put out a collaborative journal during the holidays. We’ll send it to my son so that he can share our thoughts, impressions, and feelings. Thanks for the idea.
