Glass manufacturer chooses England
GUARDIAN Industries Corp., a leading global manufacturer of glass products for the construction industry, announced plans to build a $160 million manufacturing facility in the North of England.
“Guardian Chose the North of England as the location for its eighth European float-glass facility because of the region’s role as a gateway to international markets, said Ralph J. Gerson, Guardian’s executive vice president.
The facility will be located in the town of Goole,which offers excellent road and rail connections. Nearly 700 tons of architectural glass will be produced at the facility daily, using proven technologies for environmental protection in its manufacturing process.
