Plm Wims Ctp System – Brief Article
PLM Group (Markham, Ontario) recently won a drawing for a free PlateJet computer-to-plate (CTP) system from Cymbolic Sciences. Cymbolic launched the contest in July 1999 to raise awareness among mid-sized printers about the ease and benefits of CTP. The winning entry was drawn on Dec. 17 by Dave Merrell of Grant Thornton, a Vancouver audit firm.
“This news has helped make by Christmas,” exclaimed PLM president Barry Pike, when Cymbolic Sciences called him about his win. “We’ve been extremely happy with our existing PlateJet8 and have been negotiating to buy a second unit. CTP has become a big part of our workflow-we’ve realized the promised savings and our customers are now requesting CTP. With more than 65 printing units on the floor, we certainly need a second unit.”
