Mike Goodridge seemed to miss the big picture in his story “Does MPAA = Most Parents Are Antigay?” [January 21]. Yes, it is unfair that gay content can up a film’s ratings. But ratings are not censorship. What disturbs me but seems to be accepted as status quo is that unrated or NC-17 films cannot get into shopping mall multiplexes or Blockbuster video stores. National chains are driving the independents out of business, and soon no one will be able to find gay films.
