In your “Sixth Annual Gay Guide to the Oscars” [April 2], Alonso Duralde strains to find gay connections for In the Bedroom, settling finally for some of the actors’ performances in other films and plays. May I point out a considerably less tenuous connection that he failed to unearth: One of the Oscar-nominated producers of In the Bedroom is the openly gay Ross Katz, who also produced the current HBO film The Laramie Project as well as one of the all-time great gay-themed movies, Trick.
