Holy Trinity Lutheran to host talent show
Nina Culver Staff writer
If you can carry a tune, you’re invited to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church on Feb. 6 to participate in a talent show. If you can’t carry a tune, you’re still invited. And if you don’t want to carry a tune, just come and watch.
The church is hosting its annual spaghetti feed and “untalent/ talent show” that evening. The event is all about eating good food, having fun and raising money for the youth ministry program.
The event is $5 per person or $15 per family. Tickets will be available at the door, but those planning to attend are asked to make reservations by calling 926-7966.
The church is located at 2511 S. Pines.
FAITH AND MONEY
Advice is always helpful when it comes to raising kids. Opportunity Christian Church will present a live satellite program being distributed by Church Communication Network at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The program is titled “How not to be your child’s ATM” and will also give advice on how parents can teach their kids to use their faith and values to make decisions, including economic decisions like what hot new gadget they want in their Christmas stockings.
The program will feature Nathan Dungan, a money manager and author of “Prodigal Sons and Material Girls.”
The church is located at 14th and Pines. Call 926-2673 for more information.
