Gamesa Awarded Two Chinese Wind Turbine Supply Contracts
Spanish wind turbine manufacturer Gamesa Eolica recently announced it has been awarded new contracts by two Chinese companies to supply a total of 94 of the company’s G58-580 kilowatt (kW) wind turbines with a combined power production capacity of 80 megawatts (MW).
According to Gamesa, 36 of the turbines will be delivered to Datang Corporation’s Datang Zhangpu Liuao wind farm in Fujian province, with the remaining 58 to be delivered to Huaneng New Energy & Environment Protection’s Jilin Huaneng Taobei wind farm in Jilin province.
Gamesa said assembly work on the contracts is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of this year.
