Graduation and capping ceremony
The Lamp lighting ceremony of the 6th batch and the Graduation ceremony of the 2nd batch Nursing students of the School of Nursing attached to Fatima Hospital Lucknow, was celebrated on February 16th in the Nursing School auditorium. Rt. Rev. Dr. Albert D’ Souza, the catholic bishop of Lucknow, was the Chief guest during the function.
Sr. Celine George, the SNA unit secretary welcomed the august gathering. The Chief guest lighted the lamp.
In his inspiring speech he said that nursing should be nothing but `love in action’ and that Nurses need to incorporate theory and practice in giving merciful, compassionate service to ailing humanity. Sr. Lilly, the Principal of the School, administered the Nurse’s pledge to the students.
Dr. (Mrs.) Kamboj, the Medical Superintendent of the hospital gave away the diplomas to the outgoing graduates and felicitated them. Rev. Sr. Edna, the administrator of the hospital presented certificates and cash awards to the outstanding graduates during the function. Prizes were also given out to the winners in different competitions held by the Student Nurses Association during the academic year. Miss Bineeta Kurian, proposed a vote of thanks.
