Crutch is first product from new company, Motte – Motte Medical Corp – Brief Article

Motte Medical Corp., Carlsbad, Calif., is building a distributor network for its first product, the FreeArm Forearm Crutch.

The company is marketing the product to physical therapists through advetisements in trade journals. It will also advertise to the diabetes market since a high percentage of diabetics use crutches.

In its locked position, the crutch’s side-opening cuff forms a complete ring around the arm. This allows a user to open a door, for example, without dropping or putting aside the crutch, according to Motte Medical.

The suggested retail price of the crutch is $149 and $85 for the plastic, side-opening cuff. The cuff is compatible with all major crutches.
