Generic Pharmaceutical Association – Industry News – association asks the Missouri government to reconsider drug rebate program – Brief Article
The Generic Pharmaceutical Association earlier this month urged Missouri to reconsider a rebate program of 15 percent for prescription drugs, noting that enhancing generic drug utilization would be a more cost-effective measure.
“The 15 percent Missouri SenioRx Program rebate unfairly penalizes generic pharmaceutical manufacturers and hurts all consumers,” GPhA stated. The association also noted that setting rebates at 15 percent makes some drugs unprofitable and might force generic competitors to withdraw products at the expense of consumers.
