Tom Johnson Dies At 62

Thomas F. Johnson, Sr., died March 9 of heart failure. He was a native of Illinois and moved with the family to Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley in 1945. Johnson was co-founder and winemaker emeritus at Johnson’s Alexander Valley Wines, which was established in 1975.

Tom Johnson is survived by his children–Ellen Johnson, Cindy Beth, Tom Jr. and Charles–and six grandchildren.

The family requested donations be made to the Johnson Family Scholarship Fund at Healdsburg High School.
