Erath Vineyards – Earth Vineyards – Brief Article – Product Announcement

Philip E. Hiaring

Oregon is a pretty good place to grow Pinot gris. Erath Vineyards turned out a dandy ’99 for $12. Excellent as an aperitif-it’s a tad sweet but with .6 acid–it also would work with cheese, fruit or spicy chow. There’s lots of fresh fruit here, including peaches and pears. I didn’t get a finish of Granny Smith apple, but hey, who cares? Tasted April 2000.
