New board of directors in place at American Identity parent company – Identity Now Inc

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. – Identity Now, Inc., parent company to Overland Park-based American Identity, Inc., recently announced the appointment of a new five-member board of directors.

The new board members include James Dumler, who serves as chairman, Thomas Wheeler, William Redmond, Jr., W. Randall Dietrich and James Possehl.

“We are pleased to have assembled such an experienced team of individuals, bringing a broad spectrum of valuable expertise to our company,” said Roger Henry, American Identity president. “The board will work closely with the American Identity management team to provide strategic direction as we strengthen our industry leading position.”

James Dumler currently serves as a managing director of Republic Financial Corporation. Prior to joining Republic, he served as chief financial officer (CFO) for The Broe Companies from 2001-2003. His experience also includes time as chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Purina Mills, Inc. During an 11-year tenure with Koch Industries, Dumler held various management positions including executive vice president of corporate finance, CFO of Koch Hydrocarbon Company, managing director of Koch Development Group, and vice president of Koch Chemical Group. He started his career with Borg-Warner Corporation as an engineer.

Thomas Wheeler brings more than 25 years of experience in apparel manufacturing, distribution, sales, marketing and operations to the board. He provides consulting services to Grupo-Beta, a Honduran cut/sew manufacturing company and most recently served as president and CEO of Wormser Apparel Group. Wheeler spent the majority of his career at Hartmarx Corporation, where he worked in several of its companies and became president and CEO of its Bitwell Clothing Company.

William Redmond, Jr. most recently served as chairman, president and CEO of Garden Way, Inc., based in Rensselaer, N.Y. and before that spent several years as vice president of field operations for Quaker Oats Beverages. His experience also includes 10 years with Pepsi-Cola North America, where he rose from district manager to vice president and general manager of the California Business Unit. He began his career with Procter & Gamble Company. Redmond currently serves on the board of four other public and private companies.

W. Randall Dietrich currently serves as president of Republic Financial Corporation where he manages development of the company’s business groups and oversees all aspects of operations. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a strategic business planning consultant for companies in a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, financial services, and oil and gas exploration. Dietrich began his career as a certified public accountant at Coopers and Lybrand.

James Possehl has served as CEO and chairman of the board of Republic Financial Corp. since 1971. An active member in the equipment leasing industry, Possehl previously served as chairman of the Equipment Leasing Association of America, president of the United Association of Equipment Leasing and board member of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Foundation. He also holds the designation of certified lease professional. During his career, Possehl has held a variety of board positions with numerous civic and business organizations.

American Identity finished 2003 on a strong note, completing its operational consolidation and re-capitalization, and showing strong fourth quarter sales, according to Roger Henry. “We believe the overall industry is showing signs of growth after several stagnant years, and our own sales trends indicate 2004 will be a growth year,” he added.
