Tuna salad for special diets – Estee Corp.’s tuna combo kit – Brief Article
People on medically directed diets often face challenges in their prepared food choices. To help increase those choices, Estee Corp., Parsippany, N.J., recently introduced 18 new products.
The all-in-one tuna combo kit allows consumers on medically directed diets to enjoy a product similar to those currently on the market. However, this kit contains no-salt-added chunk light tuna, lowfat crackers and reduced-fat mayonnaise. It also contains 50% less fat and 70% less sodium than the leading tuna salad kit, according to the company.
Other new products in the line include fruit bars (made with a combination of apple or cranberry with fig), pretzel nuggets, double decker cookie wafers (in lemon creme and peanut butter creme), sugar-free hard candy additions (toffee, butterscotch and peppermint swift), and snack crackers (sesame wheat, onion poppy and cheddar cheese).
