Notes: Gas in storage at the end of a reporting period may not equal the
quantity derived by adding or subtracting net injections or withdrawals
during the period to the quantity of gas in storage at the beginning of
the period. Totals may not equal sum of components because of
independent rounding. Geographic coverage is the 50 States and the
District of Columbia. The EIA publishes weekly estimates of working gas
in underground storage by geographical regions developed by the American
Gas Association (AGA) when they published similar weekly estimates. The
AGA Producing Region is Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, New Mexico, Louisiana,
Arkansas, Alabama and Mississippi; the Eastern Consuming Region is all
States east of the Mississippi River less Mississippi, plus iowa,
Nebraska and Missouri; the Western Consuming Region is all States west
of the Mississippi River less the Producing Region and Iowa, Nebraska
and Missouri.
