Hardee’s franchisee group doles out scholarships
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. — The Independent Hardee’s Franchisee Association awarded $1,000 scholarships to 20 new franchisee employee recipients during the Scholarship Program’s second year of operation.
Funded by the IHFA and implemented by Scholarship America, a nonprofit third party that collects and analyzes the applications, the program received more than three times as many applications this year as it did in its initial year.
To be eligible, students must be employed at a Hardee’s franchised restaurant for six continuous months and must plan to enroll in an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school.
“The program is made possible by our Gold and Platinum associate members,” said IHFA executive director Steve Ellerhorst. “On behalf of the students, we’re grateful for their continued support.”
