Delaware North gears up for hockey season
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Delaware North Companies’ Sportservice, based here, is expanding the offerings at the six professional hockey stadiums where it operates.
New concession items in TD Banknorth Garden in Boston include sweet-potato fries, breaded jumbo shrimp, fried “onion petals,” cheesy bread sticks, gelato, garlic fries and hot carved sandwiches.
Philadelphia cheese steak sandwiches, quesadillas and chicken sandwiches are being added to the offerings at Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
New suite items at Buffalo, N.Y.’s HSBC Arena include Italian deli baguettes, rosemary pork tenderloin and a “south-of-the-border sampler,” including chimichangas, quesadillas, jalapeno poppers, guacamole and salsa.
New concession stands at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Fla., will offer Italian ice, ice cream, tacos, fajitas, Buffalo wings, chicken tenders, burgers and fries.
At Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, a special promotion is being held to let fans select the Columbus Blue Jackets’ signature hot dog.
At Sommet Center in Nashville, renovations at the food courts are expected to be completed by mid-October, and the full-service bar is being expended. The grill and pizza stands are being expanded and the hot dog kiosk is being remodeled.
