The great circle of collaboration
The Voluntary Interindustry Commerce Standards Association has updated its collaborative planning, forecasting, and replenishment (CPFR) process model. Gone is the nine-step outline for collaboration between retailers and suppliers–the model is now organized in concentric circles to provide distinct CPFR scenarios that meet different trading partner needs. This update transforms CPFR from a linear process to an iterative cycle of four activities: strategy and planning, demand and supply management, execution, and analysis.
