Performance Food Group announced that it has acquired the Thoms-Proestler Company, a privately owned, broadline foodservice distributor. The transaction is valued at approximately $95 million. Thoms-Proestler’s customers include local and regional restaurant chains, independent restaurants and healthcare facilities. Thoms-Proestler generated sales of approximately $230 million in 2001. Performance Food Group generated sales of $3.2 billion in 2001.
