John Menzer

John Menzer, the Wal-Mart executive behind the acquisition of UK arm Asda in 1995, is to leave the U.S. retail giant. Menzer will step down from his role as vice chairman in March, Wal-Mart announced. Menzer began his career at Wal-Mart in 1995 and eventually had responsibility, as CEO of Wal-Mart International, for the company’s operations in 15 countries.
